The Crown in Droitwich offered a pleasant surprise. Upgraded to a double room with a sofa, I enjoyed the clean and tidy space. The bed felt exceptionally comfy, contributing to a restful night. The cooked breakfast hit just the right spot, made fresh to order. Dinner in the pub was delightful, especially with the 2-for-1 deals on meals like curries and steaks. Staff were genuinely friendly and accommodating, making the dining experience enjoyable. I did encounter a few hiccups. the open tilting mechanism for the balcony door was broken upon arrival, but it wasn't a major issue since I didn’t need access. the variety of toiletries and in-room supplies could be enhanced—just the basics available. Despite these minor inconveniences, the welcoming atmosphere and solid food made my stay memorable.

Had an epic time at The Crown! The cooked breakfast was fantastic—freshly made to order and a real treat. The memory foam beds? Just heavenly! I drifted off into dreamland without a care. Plus, the quick food service in the pub made dinner after a long day a breeze.

The family room offered decent space for three, making it suitable for a short stay.
The corridors reeked of unpleasant odors, and the ceiling in the corridor appeared to be on the verge of collapse. Road noise was a constant issue, despite the supposed soundproofing of the windows. The bathroom showed clear signs of neglect with black mold present, and the kettle provided was cracked and leaked. Issues with a radiator left the room uncomfortably hot, while the carpet outside the bathroom was soaked, hinting at more extensive water damage.

A surprisingly delightful overnight stay
The bed was exceptionally comfy, and breakfast was freshly made to order. The staff were incredibly friendly, ensuring a pleasant atmosphere throughout our stay.
The pub was a bit chilly during the evening, and there were limits on food options in the dining area, which felt a bit ordinary for some guests.

Lovely atmosphere with friendly staff! James, the manager, went above and beyond to ensure a great stay. The garden area is inviting, but the dining service could improve during busy hours 🍽️.
The food selection was limited and a bit on the ordinary side, which could be enhanced.

Enjoyed a lovely evening meal in the inviting garden area, which was well suited for a hot day. The clean and modern room had a high standard bathroom, ample sockets for devices, and thoughtful touches like complimentary tea and biscuits. the bar hours were limited, closing earlier than expected, and there could be improvements in dining service during peak times, as it felt a bit slow on this occasion. The mattress was comfortable, ensuring a restful night, but more variety in breakfast options would enhance the experience.

I had an overnight stay and was really impressed by the delicious evening meal and the lovely, clean bathroom. One downside was the lack of chairs for our room's occupants, but I'd definitely stay again!
